Having studied embroidery during my first year of university I have a particular affinity for drawing with thread. The addition of embroidery within a printed design can add a touch of luxurious detail, which can completely changing the feel and look of a design.

Now specialising in printed textiles and having learnt many invaluable skills and techniques, I am accomplished in hand and digital printing and fabric dyeing. The desire to experiment with different techniques of manipulating textiles inspired me to explore laser cutting which I use to etch designs into velvet and cut detailed shapes in fabric for applique.

As a designer, one of my particular personal skills and interests is nature photography. You can often find me wandering around the countryside with my camera, in search of natural inspiration. I use this imagery to draw highly detailed artwork which I then modify through hand and digital print processes to create textile designs.
